About the International Alexander Technique Congress®
The International Alexander Technique Congress® provides a vibrant forum for presentations, continuous learning classes, and workshops, bringing together Alexander Technique teachers and teacher trainees from around the globe. This unique event fosters the exchange of work, knowledge, and experience, with a focus on both the practical and theoretical aspects of the Technique.
The Congress is dedicated to:
Improving Personal Use: Deepening our individual understanding and application of the Alexander Technique.
Advancing the Profession: Enhancing teaching methods and professional development.
Exploring Core Principles: Promoting a richer understanding of the foundational principles that define the Alexander Technique.
An Inclusive Community
The Congress welcomes everyone interested in the Alexander Technique, regardless of where they trained or which “branch of the Alexander tree” they represent. In the spirit of inclusivity, the Congress creates a supportive, non-judgmental space for open exploration of the work we all cherish.
Guided by the ATCA
Each Congress is uniquely organized and managed by a dedicated team of Congress Directors, which changes for every event. To ensure continuity and uphold the Congress’s mission, the work of the Directors is guided and supervised by the Alexander Technique Congress Association (ATCA), a charitable organization based in the United Kingdom.
Join us in celebrating the shared love of the Alexander Technique, advancing the profession, and inspiring deeper connections within our global community.
